Typ 304 Edelstahl (Chrom/Nickel) austenitischer nichtrostender Stähle die am weitesten verbreitete ist. Im geglühten Zustand, den es ist im Wesentlichen nicht-magnetischen und wird leicht magnetisch mit der Anwendung von Kälte, arbeiten. Diese Legierungen sind eine hervorragende Kombination aus Korrosionsbeständigkeit und Herstellbarkeit.
Typ 304L Edelstahl wird bevorzugt in Schweißanwendungen die Bildung von Chrom Karbide beim Abkühlen in der Hitze betroffenen Region der Schweißnaht ausschließen. Diese Legierungen sind eine hervorragende Kombination von Korrosion Widerstand und Herstellbarkeit.
